Coding Surround View camera control unit

- Malfunctions in control unit, even during programming
→ Prior to disconnecting the control unit, switch off ignition and remove ignition key.
→ Ensure that the power supply is not interrupted during programming.
→ Connect a battery charger with a current rating of at least 90 A to the vehicle battery.

The PIWIS Tester 3 9900 instructions take precedence since the description may be different with later Tester releases.

- Replace Surround View camera control unit. → 917219 REMOVING AND INSTALLING SURROUND VIEW CAMERA CONTROL UNIT
- PIWIS Tester II 9818 must be connected to the vehicle before starting PIWIS Tester II 9818 . Switch on ignition.
- Start the diagnostic application and select the vehicle type.
- Select the Reversing camera/Surround View control unit in the overview and press [F12] to continue.
- Extended identifications must now be selected.
- Check the VIN and correct it if necessary.
- Select the Codings/adaptations tab and press [F12] to continue.
- Select coding mode Automatic coding and press [F12] to start coding.
- Wait for confirmation that automatic coding was completed successfully and press [F12] to continue.
- Read out the fault memory and check that the Surround View camera is working.
