Removing outside temperature sensor

  1. Switch off ignition and pull remote control out of ignition lock.

    Turbo vehicles only 

  2. Swivel right flap -1-  of the air guide forward.

    All vehicles 

  3. Pull outside temperature sensor -2-  out of the right flap.
  4. Release and disconnect electric plug connection -3-  .

    Information 

    Checking branch of wire harness for outside temperature sensor

    • Visual inspection: check that the electric line is routed with the tie-wrap holder  .
    • No, then continue with Step 5  .
    • Yes, no further action required  .
  5. Rework branch of wire harness for outside temperature sensor: 
    1. 5.1. Secure tie-wrap holder -1-  , Part No. 3D0.971.838.L  , to the right flap of the air guide as shown.
    2. 5.2. Secure electric line -2-  for the outside temperature sensor with a tie-wrap -3-  .
