Installing control unit for steering wheel electronics

Airbag contact unit not set correctly
- Malfunction in driver's airbag unit
→ When removing and installing the steering column switch, turn the steering wheel so that the wheels are in straight-ahead position. This ensures that the airbag contact unit is locked in the central position.
→ Do not trap the cable of the airbag contact unit.
→ Check that the cable is routed correctly.
- Installation is performed in reverse order to removal.
- Tighten fastening screw used to secure the steering wheel electronics control unit to the steering-column switch. Tightening torque 0.5 Nm (0.5 ft lb.)
