Removing PCM display and operator control unit

NOTE:
Incorrect handling of optical waveguides
- Risk of damage to optical waveguide
→ Observe the requirements for working with and installing optical waveguides.
Information
Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!
- Always wear approved work clothes and shoes when carrying out assembly work .
- Do not remove new parts from ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging until shortly before installation .
- Do not touch electric pins and plug contacts .
- Move PDK selector lever to position D.
- Switch off ignition.
- Cover the switch console and PDK selector lever with clean, soft cloths.
- Unscrew fastening screws -1- .
- Remove flap -2- on the DVD autochanger.
- Carefully pull the PCM display and operator control unit -3-
out of the instrument panel and set it down on the padded switch console.
- Disconnect antenna lines -1-
on the PCM display and operator control unit -2-

- 7.1. Pull the slide locks about 2 mm out of the plug connections.
- 7.2. Press the slide locks and pull off antenna lines.
- Disconnect central connector -1-
on the PCM display and operator control unit -2-

- 8.1. Release the locking clip -a- .
- 8.2. Swivel the locking clip down -b- and remove central connector from the PCM display and operator control unit.
- Disconnect antenna line -1-
at the telephone control unit in the PCM display and operator control unit -2-

- 9.1. Pull the slide lock about 2 mm out of the plug connection.
- 9.2. Press the slide lock -a- and pull off antenna line.
- Press the locks -b- and pull antenna lines -3- off the PCM display and operator control unit.
