Adjusting headlights (basic setting in the body)

- The headlights are fitted into the body at the factory!
- The headlights must only be re-adjusted during accident repairs or if the headlights are being replaced!
Information
If work is carried out on the headlight or retainer plate, the installed fastening screws must be replaced by micro-encapsulated fastening screws (see PET).
Micro-encapsulated fastening screws must be tightened only once to the specified torque.
Micro-encapsulated fastening screws must be replaced after loosening them.
Information
- Adjust gap dimensions on lid and accessories in accordance with the gap specifications .
- Given a clearance in the opening that is too great or too small, the accessories must be centered with respect to the body .
- Ensure that the gaps do not run in a wedge-shaped fashion or do not narrow at local points .
- The given values are guidelines, which should be observed as far as possible .
- The guidelines apply to repair work and assembly work .
- Use star gauges to check the gap dimensions . Star gauge WE 1690
