Removing windscreen-washer reservoir

  1. Remove filler neck -1-  .
    1. 1.1. Unscrew fastening screws -2-  .
    2. 1.2. Pull filler neck out of the windscreen-washer reservoir and remove it.

  2. Remove windscreen-washer reservoir -1-  .
    1. 2.1. Unscrew fastening screws -2-  .
    2. 2.2. Pull windscreen-washer reservoir out of the guides on the A-pillar and remove it under the wing.
    3. 2.3. Remove hoses and lines -3-  from the guides at the windscreen-washer reservoir.

  3. Release and disconnect electric plug connection -1-  at the fill level sensor.
  4. Release and disconnect electric plug connection -2-  at the pump for the windscreen washer system.
  5. Release and disconnect electric plug connection -3-  at the pump for the headlight cleaning system.

  6. Release hoses for the windscreen washer system -1-  at the pump for the windscreen washer system -2-  and pull them off. Collect any fluid that leaks out in a suitable container.
  7. Release hose for headlight cleaning system -3-  at the pump for the headlight cleaning system -4-  and pull it off.
  8. Remove windscreen-washer reservoir -5-  .

  9. Check condition and correct seating of rubber mountings -1-  and seal -2-  on the windscreen-washer reservoir -3-  . Replace rubber mountings and seal if necessary.

    When replacing the windscreen-washer reservoir: 

  10. Raise sender for washer fluid-level indicator -1-  out of the windscreen-washer reservoir -4-  .
  11. Lever pump for windscreen washer system -2-  out of the windscreen-washer reservoir -4-  .
  12. Lever pump for headlight cleaning system -3-  out of the windscreen-washer reservoir -4-  .
  13. Raise seals -5-  out of the windscreen-washer reservoir and check their condition. Replace seals if necessary.
