Removing trailer hitch control unit

NOTE: Voltage peaks

Risk of damage to load or to the control unit

→ Remove the ignition key and switch off load before disconnecting or removing load.

Switch off ignition and pull remote control out of ignition lock.
Disengage retaining clips -a- and remove trailer hitch control unit -1- from the holder -2- .

Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!
- Always wear approved work clothes and shoes when carrying out assembly work.
- Do not remove new parts from ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging until shortly before installation.
- Do not touch electric pins and plug contacts.
Disconnect electric plug connections.
1. 3.1. Press release tabs -a- and disconnect electric plug connections -1- from the trailer hitch control unit -2- .
2. 3.2. Press release tab -b- , swivel clip -3- aside and disconnect electric plug connection -4- .
