Removing rear-view mirror housing (lower part)

Information

The number of fastening screws, fixing clips, plug connections, holders and trim panels can vary depending on equipment.
The illustrations for removing and installing the drive mechanism are shown only on one equipment variant and may differ from the actual equipment variant.
Some steps must be carried out automatically.
Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle.

Unscrew screw -1- .
Remove plastic washer -2- .
Remove coil spring -3- .
Remove plastic washer -4- .
Unclip wire harness -5- at the mirror bracket -6- .
Release and disconnect electric plug connection -7- .
Pull electric plug connection -8- out of the bracket, then release and disconnect it.

Unclip mirror bracket -1- on lower part of housing -2- , guide it out of the bracket -3- and remove it.
Unclip area lighting -4- from lower part of housing -2- and disconnect electric plug connection.
Guide out wire harness -5- at lower part of housing -2- and remove lower part of housing -2- .
