Removing door entry guard: Notes

Information 

The door entry guard can only be installed and removed when the doors are open. The illustration shows the vehicle without doors for the sake of clarity.

Information 

• The number of fastening screws, fixing clips, plug connections, holders and trim panels can vary depending on equipment.
• The illustrations for removing and installing the drive mechanism are shown only on one equipment variant and may differ from the actual equipment variant.
• Some steps must be carried out automatically.
• Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle.

1. Unscrew front fastening screws -1-  .

   Unscrew rear fastening screw -1-  .

2. Unscrew fastening screws on the door entry guard -2-  .

3. Unclip door entry guard.
   1. 3.1. Unclip door entry guard in direction -A-  , starting from the front. Then, unclip door entry guard completely in direction -B-  .

4. Remove door entry guard.

   Information 

   Cover add-on parts and adjacent areas.

   Protect components against scratching and damage.
