The function test on the electrical components of the trailer hitch can be performed using a trailer with no faults in the wiring and lights or using the Trailer Socket Tester WE 1439 . The procedure for testing using the Trailer Socket Tester WE 1439 is described below.
The Trailer Socket Tester WE 1439 can only be used to test 13-pin plug sockets. An adapter is required for testing 7-pin sockets.
Thermal cut-off can occur on the Trailer Socket Tester WE 1439 as a result of the build-up of heat.
