Diagnostic system: Performing vehicle hand over

→ Prior to disconnecting the control unit, switch off ignition and remove ignition key.

→ Ensure that the power supply is not interrupted during programming.

→ Connect a battery charger with a current rating of at least 90 A to the vehicle battery.

PIWIS Tester II 9818 must be connected to the vehicle. Then start the Tester.
1. 1.1. Switch on ignition .
Select the required vehicle.
When the overview of control units is displayed, press [F7] to continue.
Select Vehicle hand over log menu and press [F12].
When Remove transport protection is displayed, press [F12] to continue.
The control units are activated and the status is displayed. Compare the chassis number displayed on the Tester with the chassis number of the vehicle. Press [F12] to continue.
If the vehicle is a new vehicle, press [F8] (Yes) to continue.
Select the relevant country and press [F12] to continue.
The Tester displays the message Write service interval . Press [F8] to confirm.
Service intervals will be written. Press [F12] to continue.
Chassis number is correct? . Press [F12] to confirm and then press [F11] to return to the data entry screen.
Archive the vehicle hand over log file. Press [F12] to continue.
Carry out a test drive and read out the fault memory.
1. 13.1. Check faults following diagnosis if necessary and erase the fault memory before delivering the vehicle.
