Installing crankshaft sealing ring for pulley/vibration balancer

Information 

Sealing rings become damaged as a result of improper fitting. Do not oil sealing rings on the running surface and do not pull sealing rings off the plastic sleeve.

Information 

• If the joint flange on the pulley or the surface on the crankshaft stub is slightly rusted, polish the rust off with a special polishing pad.
• If there is bad corrosion or deep grooves, replace these components.

1. Fit seal with plastic sleeve over the crankshaft.

2. Tighten the two upper fastening screws and then the lower fastening screws by hand. Then tighten the screws in diagonally opposite sequence to the specified torque (aluminum screws)  .
   1. 2.1. Replace screws.
   2. 2.2. Tightening torque, item 9 Initial tightening 4 Nm (3 ft lb.) Final tightening +60° 

      Tightening torque, item 10 Initial tightening 4 Nm (3 ft lb.) Final tightening +60°

3. Pull plastic sleeve straight off the joint flange.
