Draining oil for transfer gear

  • Danger of scalding

→ Let the fluid cool down.

→ Wear personal protective gear.

Information 

To ensure that the transfer gear is filled correctly, a total of 500 ml  . of oil must be drained and extracted.

Information 

Use only oil approved by Porsche.

  1. Drain oil for transfer gear.
    1. 1.1. Unscrew inspection plug and filler plug -1-  .
    2. 1.2. Unscrew oil drain plug -2-  and collect emerging oil in a measuring cup.
    3. 1.3. Replace oil drain plug -2-  and tighten to the specified torque.

      Tightening torque 20 Nm (15 ft. lb.) +/-4 Nm (+/-3 ft. lb.)

  2. Extract oil at the transfer gear -1-  .
    1. 2.1. Use transmission fluid filler pump set WE 1372  and adapter pipe WE 1869 -2-  to extract residual oil through the inspection and filler plug opening -3-  .
