Installing left halfshaft flange

Information 

• Check the shaft sealing ring on the differential for damage.
• Replace the shaft sealing ring if damaged.

1. Check shaft sealing ring -arrow B-  for damage.

2. Install flywheel. → 136019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FLYWHEEL
3. Install halfshaft flange -2-  .
   1. 3.1. Turn the flywheel until the opening for entering the differential is visible.
   2. 3.2. Guide the halfshaft flange -2-  centrally in -direction of arrow B-  into the shaft sealing ring on the differential.
   3. 3.3. Carefully insert the halfshaft flange as far as it will go.

4. Insert and tighten new  fastening screws.
   1. step Initial tightening 15 Nm (11 ft. lb.) 
   2. step Final tightening 45°
