Removing line for ATF cooling

WARNING: Working with ATF
  • Possible danger of injury or damage (e.g. swollen hoses, skin irritation, danger of slipping, etc.)

→ Before lines are opened, place a cloth underneath them!

→ Components that come into contact with ATF must be cleaned IMMEDIATELY with water!

→ Take appropriate protective measures (protective clothing, safety goggles, oil binding material)

→ Collect emerging ATF!

Information 

Before re-installing the ATF lines, check the O-rings on the lines for damage and replace them if necessary.

Coat O-rings on ATF lines with ATF.

Close off all lines and connections using suitable stoppers during removal.

Do not open the stoppers for the lines and connections until shortly before installation.

  1. Remove heat shield -2-  .
    1. 1.1. Unscrew fastening screws -1-  .
    2. 1.2. Remove heat shield -2-  .

  2. Remove ATF lines -3-  .
    1. 2.1. Unscrew fastening screws -1, 2, 4 and 5 -  .
    2. 2.2. Pull ATF lines out of the ATF spin-on filter housing.
    3. 2.3. Remove ATF lines -3-  .
