Removing sensor module

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2016 Porsche Macan and 2015 Porsche Macan. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove connector housing for sensor module.
    1. 1.1. Use bit T40228  to turn the connector housing as far as it will go to the left -A-  .
    2. 1.2. Pull off connector housing -B-  .

  2. Remove transmission housing cover.
    1. 2.1. Unscrew fastening screws -1, 2-  .
    2. 2.2. Pull off transmission housing cover.

  3. Remove oil guide for drive shaft.

  4. Unscrew fastening screw -A-  for side shaft -B-  .
    1. 4.1. Fit bi-hexagonal socket insert (a/f 21) -C-  with extension -D-  .
    2. 4.2. Counter-hold tool T40217  must be inserted into the side shaft -arrows 1, 2-  and screwed to the center transmission housing.

  5. Pull out the side shaft -2-  .

  6. Pull spur gear -1-  and needle-roller bearing -2-  off the output shaft -3-  .

  7. Position transmission so that it is vertical on the mounting bracket. → Moving transmission to a vertical position 
    1. 7.1. The clutch side is pointing downwards.

  8. Unscrew fastening screws for center transmission housing.

  9. Suspend center transmission housing on the workshop crane WE 1188  and remove it.
    1. 9.1. Retainer T10014  must be secured to the center transmission housing.
    2. 9.2. Secure VW771/40 from tool set Multi-purpose tool VW 771  to the center transmission housing.
    3. 9.3. Eye-head bolt 3368  must be secured to VW771/40.
    4. 9.4. Retainer T10014  and eye-head bolt 3368  must now be connected to the lifting tackle 2024A  .
    5. 9.5. Lifting tackle 2024A  must be connected to the workshop crane WE 1188  .
    6. 9.6. Lift off center transmission housing and set it down on a workbench.

  10. Remove sensor module.
    1. 10.1. Unscrew fastening screw.
    2. 10.2. Remove sensor module -2-  and oil collection pan -1-  .
