Installing front anti-roll bar

WARNING: Wheel bearing housing raised incorrectly
  • Risk of crushing
  • Risk of damage to components

→ Wear personal protective gear.

→ Do not raise the wheel suspension higher than the normal vehicle position (vehicle resting on wheels).

Information 

4495TW ADJUSTMENT VALUES FOR SUSPENSION ALIGNMENT .

Pay particular attention to the following points!

Installation is performed in reverse order to removal. Pay particular attention to the following:

  1. Position anti-roll bar in installation position.

    For Macan Basis and Macan Diesel:  Make sure that the gap in the rubber mounting in the right bracket is touching the contact surface of the clip.

    For Macan S and Macan Turbo:  The rubber mounting is in two parts with a special precisely fitted clip. The gap in the rubber mounting must be parallel to the contact surface of the clip.

  2. Tighten fastening nuts -1-  on the anti-roll bar clamps -3-  on both sides of the vehicle. Tightening torque 30 Nm (22 ft. lb.)

  3. Tighten fastening screw -2-  on both sides of the vehicle. Initial tightening 40 Nm (30 ft. lb.) Final tightening +90°
