Installing front drive shaft

  1. Grease splines with a little Optimally TA aluminum paste and insert drive shaft. When doing this, press the inner joint together fully.
  2. Installation is performed in reverse order.

    Observe specified tightening torques:

    Drive shaft to transmission: Initial tightening 30 Nm (22 ft. lb.) Final tightening +90° 

    Drive shaft to wheel hub (Step 1: Wheels suspended in mid-air, operate brake while tightening): Tightening torque 200 Nm (148 ft. lb.) 

    Drive shaft to wheel hub (Step 2: Wheels on the ground): Torque angle 180°
