Removing catalytic converter

Information 

The procedure for removing and installing is described for one side as an example. The procedure for the other side is practically identical.

  1. Loosen exhaust pipe/front silencer -1 -  on the catalytic converter -2-  .
    1. 1.1. Unscrew nuts -3-  .
    2. 1.2. Remove exhaust pipe/front silencer and remove seal -4-  .

  2. Loosen catalytic converter -1-  at the turbocharger -2-  .
    1. 2.1. Loosen screw -3-  and remove V-band clamp -4-  .
    2. 2.2. Remove seal -5-  on the turbocharger -2-  .

  3. Remove catalytic converter -1-  .
    1. 3.1. Unscrew screw -2-  on holder -3-  at the top.
    2. 3.2. Unscrew screw -4-  securing catalytic converter to spring/tab assembly -5-  .
    3. 3.3. Remove catalytic converter -2-  .
