Installing ATF pan

NOTE:
Dirt and contamination
- Risk of damage to units or components
→ Protect components from dirt and contamination.
→ Clean or replace dirty components.
Information
- The engine must not be started if there is no ATF in the transmission.
- Risk of damage to the transmission.
- Fit a new seal.
- Clean the magnetic strips and check that they are fitted over the entire surface in the ATF pan.
- Install ATF pan.
- 3.1. Position ATF pan.
- 3.2. Fit fastening screws -1... 15- by hand and screw in as far as they will go.
- 3.3. Tighten fastening screws. Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ft. lb.)
- Fit and tighten ATF drain plug. Tightening torque 45 Nm (33 ft. lb.)
- Install cross-strut for front-axle carrier.
- 5.1. Clip in line -1- .
- 5.2. Fit new fastening screws -2- and -3- and screw in as far as they will go.
- 5.3. Tighten new
fastening screws -2-

Step 1 Initial tightening 90 Nm (67 ft. lb.)
Step 2 Final tightening +135°
- 5.4. Tighten new
fastening screws -3-
.
Step 1 Initial tightening 90 Nm (67 ft. lb.)
