Mounting double clutch transmission

→ Use prescribed tools and aids.

1. Use hook and support tool T40294  to secure the transmission to the workshop crane WE 1188  .
   1. 1.1. Hook and support tool T40294  must be engaged in the housing bores on the right.
   2. 1.2. Fit knurled screw at the left on the transmission.

   Information 

   • Check that the spacer is fitted at the correct position.
   • The markings on the spacer must be legible after positioning it on the engine flange.
2. Mount transmission.
   1. 2.1. Fit spacer -2-  on the dowel sleeves on the engine.

      Check installation position of the spacer; the markings must be legible  .

   2. 2.2. Position transmission and fit and tighten fastening screws -1 and 5-  with holders -7-  .
   3. 2.3. Tighten fastening screws -1 and 5-  .

      Screw 1: Tightening torque 80 Nm (59 ft. lb.) 

      Screw 5: Tightening torque 80 Nm (59 ft. lb.)

3. Secure dual-mass flywheel on the drive plate.
   1. 3.1. Fit fastening screws.

      Turn the crankshaft a further 60° in direction of rotation of the engine  .

   2. 3.2. Tighten fastening screws using socket-wrench insert 9836/1  . Tightening torque 60 Nm (44 ft. lb.) 

      Counter the crankshaft at the pulley when tightening the fastening screws.

4. Install cover -1-  on the underside of the transmission.

5. Fit holder -1-  with auxiliary pump on the transmission and tighten fastening screws -2-  .

6. Connect electric plug connections -1...4-  , clip in holder -6-  and secure the wiring harness at the transmission.
