Removing locking cable

Information

No lateral forces must be applied to the pull rod of the selector knob.

Press holder for switch console -1- in -direction of arrow- and remove it.

Disconnect electric plug connection -2- and remove insulating mat -1- .

Move selector lever to position "P".
Information
- Loosen clamping screw for locking cable by only about 1 turn.
- The clamping screw is only accessible in selector-lever position "P".
- When the clamping screw is loosened, the selector lever must remain in position "P".
Loosen clamping screw -1- for locking cable using socket insert a/f 5 T40031 .
Clamping screw remains in place .

Unscrew fastening screws -1- and -3- , support the transmission using transmission bracket and lower it by about 25 mm.

Unscrew fastening nuts -2- and remove heat shield.

Loosen safety clip -2- .

Remove locking cable -1- .

8.1. Loosen ball socket -2- .
8.2. Loosen fastening screws for holder and remove holder for locking cable.

8.3. Remove locking cable -1- .
