Removing selector support

Information

No lateral forces must be applied to the pull rod of the selector knob.

Press holder for switch console -1- in -direction of arrow- and remove it.

Disconnect electric plug connection -2- and remove insulating mat -1- .

Loosen selector support.

3.1. Press release -3- .
3.2. Selector knob -2- in position "P".
Information
- Loosen clamping screw for locking cable by only about 1 turn.
- The clamping screw is only accessible in selector-lever position "P".
- When the clamping screw is loosened, the selector lever must remain in position "P".
3.3. Loosen clamping screw -1 - for locking cable by about 1 turn using socket insert a/f 5 T40031 .
Clamping screw remains in place .

3.4. Unscrew fastening nuts -4- .

Unscrew fastening nuts -2- and remove heat shield.

Unscrew fastening screws -1- and -3- , support the transmission using transmission bracket and lower it by about 25 mm.

Remove selector support.

6.1. Loosen the safety clip -1- and pull locking cable -2- out of the selector support -3- .

6.2. Remove selector support -3- .
