Replacing fuse element in power distributor

NOTE:
Voltage peaks
- Risk of damage to loads or to the control unit
→ Disconnect the battery before removing the component or control unit.

- Unhook cover -1- over terminal clamp on the power distributor and fold it over -a- .
- Release cover -2-

) and fold it up towards the rear -c-
.
- Remove defective fuse element.
- 3.1. Screw off nut -1- with line on the fuse element.
- 3.2. Screw off nut -2- on the fuse element.
- 3.3. Remove the rest of the fuse element from the power distributor.
- Insert a new fuse element with a suitable nominal current rating.
- Tighten nut -1- for the line on the fuse element. Tightening torque 7.5 Nm (5.5 ft. lb.)
- Tighten nut -2-
on the fuse element. Tightening torque 7.5 Nm (5.5 ft. lb.)
- Push cover -1-
forward and close it until it engages securely -a-
.
- Tighten terminal clamp -2- for the power distributor on the battery terminal. Tightening torque 5 Nm (3.5 ft. lb.)
- Close the cover -1- on the positive terminal until it engages securely.
