Removing battery-starter wire harness (from external power connection to starter)

Disconnect positive cables at the jump-start point.
1. 1.1. Remove cover -1- at the jump-start point.
2. 1.2. Screw off fastening nut -2- and remove positive cable -3- from positive cable (B+) -5- .
3. 1.3. Unscrew connection terminal -4- at the jump-start point and remove positive cable (B+) at the jump-start point.
4. 1.4. Unscrew fastening nut -6- for positive cable -7- at the jump-start point.

Disconnect electric plug connection -1- .
1. 2.1. Disengage electric plug connection -a- and push it down towards the rear and off the retaining clip.
2. 2.2. Pull red locking mechanism -b- .
3. 2.3. Pull secondary lock -c- and disconnect electric plug connection.

Disconnect battery-starter wire harness -1- on the cowl panel.
1. 3.1. Unclip the holder -2- at the battery-starter wire harness holder -a- .
2. 3.2. Unclip the holders -3- for the battery-starter wire harness on the cowl panel.

Loosen wire harness sleeve -1- on the cowl panel.
1. 4.1. Carefully move seal -2- to the side.
2. 4.2. Unclip the holders -3- for the wire harness sleeve in the wheel housing at the top right.

Unclip the holders -1- for the battery-starter wire harness -2- on the body.

Information

One or two electric plug connections for the fans must be disconnected, depending on the engine type.
Disconnect electric plug connection -1- .
1. 6.1. Pull red locking mechanism -a- .
2. 6.2. Press secondary lock -b- and disconnect electric plug connection.

Release electric plug connection -1- (-a- ) and disconnect it.
Screw off fastening nut -2- and remove ground line -3- .

Disconnect battery-starter wire harness -1- at the potential distributor.
1. 9.1. Release cover -2- on the potential distributor and fold it down.
2. 9.2. Screw off fastening nut -3- and remove B+ positive cable from the potential distributor.
3. 9.3. Open the holders -4- and remove battery-starter wire harness.

Unclip breather hose -1- from the holders -2- for the wiring duct -3- .
Release wiring duct -a- and pull it up out of the longitudinal member.
Remove battery-starter wire harness -4- in a downward direction.
