Loosening main wire harness in passenger compartment at the right

NOTE: Incorrect handling of main wire harness

Risk of damage to lines

→ The main wire harness contains all airbag lines, antenna lines and optical waveguides.

→ The main wire harness must not be separated and is always replaced as a complete wire harness when carrying out extensive repairs.

→ If individual lines are damaged, shut off these lines and install new lines. Lay the new lines along the main wire harness and secure them to the main wire harness.

NOTE: Incorrect handling of optical waveguides

→ Observe the requirements for working with and installing optical waveguides.

Screw off fastening nut -1- and remove ground lines -2- from ground point.

Release and disconnect electric plug connection on airbag sensor on inner wheel arch at the rear right. → 695119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING AIRBAG SENSOR
Release and disconnect electric plug connection on seat-belt pretensioner on passenger's side. → 691119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT THREE-POINT BELT
Disconnect electric plug connection on wire harness for door at the rear right in the B-pillar.
1. 4.1. Lever off locking mechanism for electric plug connection -1- using a plastic wedge in an upward direction -a- and pull off electric plug connection.
2. 4.2. Release electric plug connection -2- (-b- ) and press it into the B-pillar.

Remove sound absorber -1- on wire harness for front right door.

Disconnect electric plug connection on wire harness for front right door at the bottom of the A-pillar.
1. 6.1. Lever off locking mechanism for electric plug connection -1- using a plastic wedge in an upward direction -a- and pull off electric plug connection.
2. 6.2. Release electric plug connection -2- (-b- ) and press it into the A-pillar.

Release and disconnect electric plug connections -1- for the dashboard wire harness at the right.
Screw off fastening nut -2- and remove ground lines from the ground point.

Loosen connector bracket -1- under the passenger's seat.
1. 9.1. Screw off fastening nut -2- and remove connector bracket to the rear.
2. 9.2. Screw off fastening nut -3- and remove ground line from ground point.

Screw off fastening nuts -1- and remove ground lines at ground points.

Unclip main wire harness in passenger compartment at the right and all sub-parts from holders.
Press grommets on the sub-parts into the passenger compartment and guide all sub-parts carefully into the passenger compartment.
