Removing sun visor: Notes

Information 

• The number of fastening screws, fixing clips, plug connections, holders and trim panels can vary depending on equipment  .
• The illustrations for removing and installing the drive mechanism are shown only on one equipment variant and may differ from the actual equipment variant  .
• Some steps must be carried out automatically  .
• Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle  .

1. Swivel sun visor down.
2. Unclip covers -1-  .
3. Adjust the sun visor so that the front fixing clip -2-  is accessible.

   Pull sun visor down slightly and leave it there to facilitate further disassembly. This will prevent the fixing clips from locking again  .

4. Loosen front fixing clip from the roof lining.
   1. 4.1. Guide two screwdrivers (1.2 x 6.5 mm) -3-  into the openings -2-  on the fixing clip. This actuates the tabs -1-  on the fixing clip and moves them inwards.
   2. 4.2. Pull the sun visor down until the front fixing clip is loosened from the roof lining.
5. Remove screwdriver from the front fixing clip and loosen rear fixing clip from the roof lining.
6. Unclip sun visor at the center bearing.
7. Pull the sun visor down until the two fixing clips are loosened completely from the roof lining.
8. Loosen adhesive tape on the inner roof lining and guide electric line through the opening in the roof lining until the electric plug connection -3-  is accessible.
9. Loosen electric plug connection -3-  from the foam sleeve -2-  , loosen adhesive tape -1-  if necessary and disconnect plug connection -3-  .
10. Remove sun visor.
