Removing dashboard moulding on passenger's side

- Open cover flap on navigation system.
- Open closing flaps on the air vents using adjusting wheels -1- .
- Move both vane tabs -2-
to centre position.
- Guide puller hook in the upper area -1- into the left air vent and make sure that the hook -2- engages securely in the housing -3- . Suitable tool: Hook 3438
- Hold puller hook tightly and release the left locking lug.
- Pull on the puller hook until the air vent with moulding disengages from the dashboard.
- Guide puller hook in the upper area -1- into the right air vent and make sure that the hook -2- engages securely in the housing -3- .
- Hold puller hook tightly and release the right locking lug.
- Pull on the puller hook until the air vent with moulding disengages from the dashboard.
- Pull air vent with moulding -1-
out of the dashboard. On vehicles with illuminated air vents, disconnect electric plug connections -2, 3-
.
- Unscrew fastening screws -1-
on the left air vent and disconnect air vent from the moulding.
- Unscrew fastening screws -1-
on the right air vent and disconnect air vent from the moulding.
