Removing trim panel under dashboard at the left

Information

The number of fastening screws, fixing clips, plug connections, holders and trim panels can vary depending on equipment.
The illustrations for removing and installing the drive mechanism are shown only on one equipment variant and may differ from the actual equipment variant.
Some steps must be carried out automatically.
Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle.

Move front seat to the rearmost position.
Unscrew fastening screws -1- at the bottom of the dashboard.
Unscrew fastening screw -2- at the left of the dashboard.
Unscrew fastening screw -3- at the front of the dashboard.
Unclip trim panel -4- on dashboard and pull it down slightly.

Disconnect electric plug connections at the rotary light switch -1- , ignition starter switch light -2- , ignition starter switch -3- and temperature sensor -4- .
Release and disconnect electric plug connection at the footwell light.
Remove diagnostic socket -5- on the trim panel -6- .
Guide out tab for footrest -7- at the trim panel -6- and remove trim panel -6- .
