Removing dashboard

Information

The number of fastening screws, fixing clips, plug connections, holders and trim panels can vary depending on equipment.
The illustrations for removing and installing the drive mechanism are shown only on one equipment variant and may differ from the actual equipment variant.
Some steps must be carried out automatically.
Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle.

Cover centre console with protective mat.
Unscrew fastening screws -1, 2- .
Unscrew fastening screw -3- .
Release and disconnect electric plug connections -4, 5- on temperature sensors.
Remove side air guides.

Unscrew fastening screws -1- for passenger's airbag.
Unscrew fastening screw -2- securing holder to bracket.
Unscrew side fastening screws -3- securing bracket to dashboard.

Unscrew fastening screw -3- .
Unscrew fastening screws -2- .
Unscrew fastening screws -1- .

Pull dashboard forward and lift it up slightly.
Guide all electric lines -1- through the dashboard.

Release and disconnect electric plug connections -1- for loudspeakers.

  NOTE: Remove the loudspeakers when replacing the dashboard
Unclip electric line -2- at the dashboard.
The help of another person is needed for Step 16 .
Remove dashboard.
