Removing instrument cluster

NOTE:
Voltage peaks
- Risk of damage to load or to the control unit
→ Remove the ignition key and switch off load before disconnecting or removing load.
Information
Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!
- Always wear approved work clothes and shoes when carrying out assembly work .
- Do not remove new parts from ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging until shortly before installation .
- Do not touch electric pins and plug contacts .
- Move steering column to its lowest, rearmost position.
- Remove upper part of steering column casing -1-

- 2.1. Lift up upper part of steering column casing at the center using a plastic wedge -4- and use a plastic squeegee -2- at the left and right to unclip it from the lower part of the steering column casing -3- .
- 2.2. Disengage upper part of steering column casing from lower part of steering column casing and remove with the trim panel under the instrument cluster -5- .
- Cover steering column with a clean, soft cloth.
- Unscrew fastening screws -1-
from the instrument cluster -2-

- Carefully pull instrument cluster at the right out of the dashboard.
- Release electric plug connection -1-

) and pull it off the instrument cluster -2-
.
- Carefully pull instrument cluster at the left out of the dashboard.
- Release clip -1-

), swivel it down and disconnect electric plug connection -2-
from the instrument cluster -3-
.
- Remove instrument cluster by pulling it to the left.
