Removing instrument cluster

→ Remove the ignition key and switch off load before disconnecting or removing load.

Always comply with the regulations for handling ESD-sensitive components!

  1. Move steering column to its lowest, rearmost position.
  2. Remove upper part of steering column casing -1-  .
    1. 2.1. Lift up upper part of steering column casing at the center using a plastic wedge -4-  and use a plastic squeegee -2-  at the left and right to unclip it from the lower part of the steering column casing -3-  .
    2. 2.2. Disengage upper part of steering column casing from lower part of steering column casing and remove with the trim panel under the instrument cluster -5-  .

  3. Cover steering column with a clean, soft cloth.
  4. Unscrew fastening screws -1-  from the instrument cluster -2-  .

  5. Carefully pull instrument cluster at the right out of the dashboard.
  6. Release electric plug connection -1-  (-a-  ) and pull it off the instrument cluster -2-  .

  7. Carefully pull instrument cluster at the left out of the dashboard.
  8. Release clip -1-  (-a-  ), swivel it down and disconnect electric plug connection -2-  from the instrument cluster -3-  .

  9. Remove instrument cluster by pulling it to the left.
