Removing rear lid hinge

- Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle or a similar component .
- Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well .

Use a marking pen to mark the position of accessories with respect to each other before removal in order to reduce the amount of adjustment work required for gaps and joints.
- Detach rear roof trim panel and pull it down carefully.
- Two people are needed to replace the rear lid hinge.
- 2.1. One person to support the rear lid.
- 2.2. Another person to replace the lid hinge.
- Unscrew and remove fastening screws -1-
on the rear lid hinge.
Rear lid hinge
- Unscrew and remove fastening nut -1-
on the lid hinge.
Hinge on body side
- Remove lid hinge by pulling it up.
