Removing Lock Carrier Side Section At The Right

  1. Remove the two air guides for the charge-air cooler, remove charge-air cooler at the lock carrier side section and secure it in the wheel housing. Refer to 214319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CHARGE-AIR COOLER .
  2. Unclip wire harness -1 -  at the lock carrier side section and remove it from the work area.
  3. Disconnect electric plug connection on the airbag sensor -2-  .
  4. Disconnect vacuum line -3-  from the ambient air valve and unclip it on the lock carrier side section.
  5. Unclip wire harness -4-  on the lock carrier side section.

  6. Unscrew fastening screw -1-,  screw off fastening nut -2-  and remove the right support -3-  .
  7. Unscrew fastening screw -4-  .
  8. Unscrew fastening screw -5-  .
  9. Support the radiator from below using a jack.
  10. Unscrew fastening screws -6-  .
  11. Unscrew fastening screws -7-  .

  12. Carefully pull the radiator -1-  forward, unclip holder -2-  on the lock carrier side section -3-  and carefully remove lock carrier side section -3-  .
