Removing Lock Carrier Side Section At The Left

  1. Remove the two air guides for the charge-air cooler, remove charge-air cooler at the lock carrier side section and secure it in the wheel housing. Refer to 214319 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CHARGE-AIR COOLER .
  2. Pull vacuum line -1-  off the ambient air valve and unclip from the fixing clips -2-  at the lock carrier side section.
  3. Remove left headlight mounting. Refer to 941419 REMOVING AND INSTALLING HEADLIGHT MOUNTING .
  4. Disconnect electric plug connection on the airbag sensor -3-  .
  5. Disconnect electric plug connections -4-  for front-end wire harness, unclip at the lock carrier and body and guide in through the lock carrier. Refer to 971619 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT-END WIRE HARNESS .
  6. Disconnect section of hose for headlight cleaning system -5-  at the Y-piece, detach it at the lock carrier and remove it from the work area. Refer to WM 927719 REMOVING AND INSTALLING HOSE FOR HEADLIGHT CLEANING SYSTEM - SECTION FROM WING CONNECTION POINT TO LEFT SPRAY NOZZLE (EXCEPT MACAN SPORT EDITION) .

    Electric plug connections, vacuum line
  7. Unscrew fastening screws for refrigerant lines -1-  .
  8. Disconnect refrigerant lines -1-  at the connection point and close off openings using stoppers.
  9. Unscrew fastening screws -2, 3-  and remove bracket -4-  at the lock carrier.
  10. Unscrew fastening screw -5-  , screw off fastening nut -6-  and remove the left support -7-  .
  11. Unscrew fastening screw -8-  .

    Refrigerant lines, support
  12. Unscrew fastening screw -1-  .
  13. Support the radiator from below using a jack.
  14. Unscrew fastening screws -2-  .
  15. Unscrew fastening screws -3-  .
  16. Carefully pull the radiator -4-  forward, unclip holder -5-  on the lock carrier side section -6-  and carefully remove lock carrier side section -6-  .
