Removing trim panel for rear lid

NOTE:

To reduce the forces during removal and thereby the risk of damage, the removal steps must be carried out at the accessible connection points using a suitable tool.

Installation position of trim panel for lid 

  1. Release light -1-  using a small screwdriver -A-  and pull it out of the trim panel.

    Removing warning light 

  2. Release electric plug connection -1-  (-A-  ) and pull off the light -2-  .

    Disconnecting electric plug connection 

  3. Open lid of storage box -1-  for warning triangle and unscrew and remove fastening screws -2-  .

  4. Remove lid release switch. → 558219 REMOVING AND INSTALLING REAR LID RELEASE SWITCH
  5. Unscrew and remove fastening screws -1-  for finger plate at the left and right.

  6. Carefully loosen the clips -marking-  on the lower part of the trim panel -1-  at the marked areas using a suitable tool.

  7. Remove trim panel.
