Removing Battery

Information

Switch off all loads and remove the ignition key.

Do not disconnect the battery while the engine is running.
Disconnect and re-connect battery with extreme caution.

The battery is located in the luggage compartment under the luggage compartment cover/toolbox tray.

Pull the vent hose -A- away from the battery.

Risk of short circuit! First disconnect the negative cable -1- then the positive -2- .

Removing terminal clamps
Unscrew and remove the two fastening screws -3- on the retaining bar -4- and the two fastening screws -5- for the rail -6- .

Remove the rail and retaining bar.
Lift the battery up and out.
