Removing Tie Rod

  1. Mark the position of the toe eccentric adjuster for re-installation.
  2. Due to space restrictions, the top front control arm on the outside of the wheel carrier must be removed in order to access the tie rod on the right side of the vehicle. → 423555 REPLACING UPPER CONTROL ARM (REAR AXLE) 
  3. Release tie rod -2-  from the chassis subframe (eccentric screw) and from the wheel carrier -1-  .
  4. Remove tie rod -2-  .
