Removing gas discharge lamp (Xenon headlights)

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2005 Porsche 911, 2004 Porsche 911, 2003 Porsche 911, 2002 Porsche 911, and 2001 Porsche 911. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Switch off light. Remove main headlight. See REMOVING MAIN HEADLIGHT .
Unscrew the fastening screws -A- for the cap of the headlight. See Fig 1 .
Press both releases -B- and remove the rear cap -1- (with the control module for the gas discharge lamp). See Fig 1 .

Unscrew electrical plug connection on the gas discharge lamp -arrow- (bayonet lock).

Turn lamp fastener (bayonet lock) counter-clockwise and remove carefully with the gas discharge lamp.
