Installing Brake Shoes

- Brake shoes
- Adjustment device
- Compression springs
- Tension springs
- Remove tie-wrap -arrow-
on the parking brake actuator.
Information
Align the entire unit in the middle.
- Insert brake shoes with adjustment device -1 and 2-
.WARNING: Preloaded or pressurized components
- Risk of injury (e.g. crushing or bruising) when removing and installing springs.
→ Do not reach into the danger area.
→ Relieve the tension on components before starting work.
→ Secure components to prevent them from loosening suddenly.
→ Wear protective gloves and goggles.
→ Be very careful when working on the brake system.
- Engage both tension springs -4- . → Tension springs
- Install compression springs -3-

- 4.1. Disconnect connector for speed sensor and use a torch to check (visual inspection) that the compression spring -arrow- is engaged.
- 4.2. Plug in connector on speed sensor again.
- 4.3. Illuminate the cut-out behind the brake disc using a torch and check (visual inspection) that the compression spring -arrow- is engaged.
