Installing Steering Wheel

Information

Turn wheels to straight-ahead position and observe the markings you applied earlier!
Airbag unit must lock with an audible click! Check by pulling on the airbag unit!
Always replace the multiple-tooth screw!

Installation is performed in reverse order to removal.
Steering wheel to steering column: Tightening torque + torque angle 30 Nm (22 ftlb.) +90°
When positioning the steering wheel, make sure that the marking -2- between the steering wheel and steering column is aligned.

Check the airbag unit before installation
- Is the compression spring -1- positioned correctly (compression spring seating in spring guide!)?
- When you slide the securing clip -2- up evenly (against the spring force) and then let it go, the securing clip must be pressed down again evenly.
