Removing rear anti-roll bar

Overview
- Remove control unit for Tyre Pressure Monitoring (TPM) -1-
from the holder -2-
on the left anti-roll bar clamp and hang it at a suitable position.
Mounting for control unit for Tyre Pressure Monitoring (TPM)
- Unscrew fastening screw -1-
for the level sensor -2-
on both sides of the vehicle at the lower trailing arm -3-
.
Mounting for level sensor on wishbone
- Unscrew fastening screws -1-
from the heat shield on the drive shaft -2-
and remove heat shield.
Mounting for heat shield on drive shaft
- Unscrew fastening screw -4- for the connecting link -2- on both sides of the vehicle.
- Loosen fastening nut -3-
from the inside -arrow-
, but do not unscrew it.
Counter at the fastening screw -1-.
Make sure not to damage the drive shaft while doing so.

Fitting spreader device VAS 6907/8
- Remove anti-roll bar clamps.
Mounting for control unit for Tyre Pressure Monitoring (TPM)
- 6.1. Unscrew fastening screws -3- for the anti-roll bar clamps -4- on both sides of the vehicle.
- 6.2. Remove holder -2-
on the left anti-roll bar clamp -4-.
Information
Do not damage the paintwork on the anti-roll bar during removal and installation.
- Guide the anti-roll bar out.
- 7.1. Wrap a cloth around the lower trailing arm -3-
on both sides of the vehicle to prevent damage to the paintwork on the anti-roll bar.
Mounting for level sensor on wishbone
- 7.2. Move the anti-roll bar -1-
to the right and guide it out carefully together with the connecting links -2-
.
Removing anti-roll bar
- 7.1. Wrap a cloth around the lower trailing arm -3-
on both sides of the vehicle to prevent damage to the paintwork on the anti-roll bar.
- Unscrew fastening screws -1-
for the connecting links -2-
on the removed anti-roll bar -3-
and take off the anti-roll bar.
