Removing rear axle housing

  1. Press electric connector -2-  for level sensor on both sides of the vehicle together and disconnect it.

  2. Only for vehicles with PASM:

    Release and pull off connector -2-  on both sides of the vehicle.

  3. Release locking lugs -1-  and remove stone guard -2-.

  4. Unscrew fastening screw -2- and remove washer -1-  .

  5. Remove stone guard -1, 2, 3- if fitted.

  1. Transmission jack WE 1082 must be positioned under the rear axle housing -1-  with a suitable piece of wood -2-underneath. Also secure rear axle housing with strapping belts 9454.

  2. Unscrew front fastening screws -1-  on both sides of the vehicle.

  3. Unscrew rear fastening screws -arrows-.

    Information 

    When lowering the rear axle housing, always check that all electric lines are disconnected.

  4. Carefully lower the rear axle housing with accessories. Be careful of the brake callipers and lines while doing so.
