Removing Rear Side Section

Information 

Only make cuts in the top plate. Make sure not to damage the plate underneath when doing this.

Information 

Mark cuts X  in accordance with the new part. Make sure to leave an overlap of approx. 3 cm with respect to the body.

1. Mark and make cuts. → Distance: 86 mm → Distance: 60 mm → Distance: 90 mm → Distance: 50 mm

   Information 

   Loosen connection points on one side only. Do not damage the sheet-metal panel underneath.

2. Drill out spotwelds using spotweld drill; see Gr. 2.4; Workshop Equipment Manual Nr.129  .

3. Bend up edge of wheel arch in area.

4. Heat the marked bonding surfaces.
