Installing B-Pillar Reinforcement And Inner B-Pillar

Information 

• Before final assembly, make sure you fully understand all the work steps involved and carry out a trial assembly without applying adhesive  .
• The bonding process can only be carried out reliably when a smooth and swift sequence of operations is guaranteed  .
• Do not begin bonding work until all materials and tools necessary for later repair work are available  .

1. Install inner B-pillar and check that it fits perfectly. Check gap dimensions. → WM 5X00IN GAP DIMENSIONS
2. Resistance spot-weld the inner B-pillar.

3. Bond and fit blind rivets in B-pillar reinforcement.
   1. 3.1. Apply adhesive to the marked areas. → 5X00IN21 WORKING WITH BODY STRUCTURAL ADHESIVE → Application depth: 3.0 mm

   2. 3.2. Rivet in B-pillar reinforcement in the relevant areas. → BLIND RIVET 999.190.227.01

4. Resistance spot-weld the B-pillar reinforcement.

5. Plug-weld the B-pillar reinforcement.

6. Apply a full weld to the B-pillar section using inert gas.
   1. 6.1. Resistance spot-weld the marked area.
