Removing A-Pillar Reinforcement

Remove side member closing element.

Information

Loosen connection points on one side only. Do not damage the sheet-metal panel underneath.

1.2. Grind down welded seams.

Only make cuts in the top plate. Make sure not to damage the plate underneath when doing this.

Mark and make a rough cut.

Information

2.1. Drill out marked spotwelds using spotweld drill;

Heat bonding areas from inside.

5.1. Remove A-pillar reinforcement.

Remove remaining piece.

6.2. Remove remaining piece of A-pillar reinforcement -1- in a downward direction.
