Removing Roof Assembly (Panorama Roof)
CAUTION:
Voltage peaks
- Risk of damage to load or to the control unit
→ Remove the ignition key and switch off load before disconnecting or removing load.
CAUTION:
Sliding-roof frame removed/fitted incorrectly
- Risk of damage to seats
→ Fold rear seat assembly over and tilt the front-seat backrests back.
NOTE:
- Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle or a similar component .
- Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well .
Installation position of panorama roof
- Pull front and rear water drain hoses -1- off the connection piece -2-

Disconnecting water drains
- Release plug connection for front wiring harness -a-
and disconnect it -A-
.
Disconnecting wire harness
- Loosen the roof assembly. (Get another person to hold the roof assembly to prevent it from falling down)
- 3.1. Unclip wiring harness mounting.
- 3.2. Unscrew fastening screws -1-
on the side brackets -2-

Removing bracket
- 3.3. Unscrew fastening screws (15 ea.) -3-
for the roof assembly, working from back to front.
Removing roof assembly
- 3.4. Lower the roof assembly with the help of another person and pull it out of the passenger compartment through the rear lid opening.
