Installing Inner Side Section

Information 

• Before final assembly, make sure you fully understand all the work steps involved and carry out a trial assembly without applying adhesive. 
• The bonding process can only be carried out reliably when a smooth and swift sequence of operations is guaranteed. 
• Do not begin bonding work until all materials and tools necessary for later repair work are available. 

1. Install inner side section and check that it fits perfectly. Check gap dimensions. → 5X00IN DIAGRAM - BODY GAP DIMENSIONS
   1. 1.1. Apply adhesive to the areas marked in green. → 5X00IN21 WORKING WITH BODY STRUCTURAL ADHESIVE→ Application depth: 3.0 mm

      Green	Resistance spot-welding + bonding
      Orange	Resistance spot-welding

2. Resistance spot-weld the inner side section.

   Information 

   Measure the position and alignment of the seat belt bracket at several points as indicated. Fit in and secure seat belt bracket with backrest.

3. Fit in and secure the seat belt bracket -1-  . → Distance: 35 mm → Distance: 50 mm

4. Resistance spot-weld the seat belt bracket -1-  .
   1. 4.1. Apply a full weld to area -A-  using inert gas.
   2. 4.2. Plug-weld area -B-  using inert gas.
