Removing Steering Column Casing

  1. Move steering wheel to its lower position and push it forward fully.
  2. Unclip upper part of casing -1-  .

    Unclipping upper part

    1. 2.1 Turn the steering wheel in such a way that the openings on the front -2-  are accessible.
    2. 2.2 Unclip upper part of casing -1-  through the openings on the front panel -2-  using a suitable tool.
  3. Fold upper part of steering column casing -1-  up -arrow-  and unclip dust boot -2-  .

  4. Remove upper part of steering column casing -1-  .
  5. Remove lower part of steering column casing -1-  .

    Screws on lower part

    1. 5.1 Unscrew screws -3-  in lower part of casing -1-  .
    2. 5.2 Turn the steering wheel in such a way that the screws -2-  on the front are accessible.
    3. 5.3 Unscrew screws -2-  in lower part of casing -1-  .
  6. Unclip electric wiring harness from lower part of steering column casing -1-  .
  7. Remove lower part of steering column casing -1-  .
