Bedding In The Brake Pads

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2014 Porsche Cayenne, 2013 Porsche Cayenne, 2012 Porsche Cayenne, and 2011 Porsche Cayenne. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

New brake pads require a bedding-in period of approx. 200 km (125 miles) Only then do they achieve their best friction and wear coefficient! During this period, the brakes should only be subjected to full stress at high speed in emergencies!
