Subsequent Work

  1. Switch off ignition and remove remote control.
  2. > 9818 - PIWIS Tester II can now be disconnected from the vehicle.
  3. Disconnect battery charger.
  4. Remove sensors and instrument holders.

    Information 

    Before and after fitting the trim cover for the distance measuring sensor control unit, check the following points:

    • The holder for the distance measuring sensor control unit must not show any signs of deformation, which may have been caused, for example, by removing or installing the trim cover for the distance measuring sensor control unit. If the holder for the distance measuring sensor control unit is deformed, carefully push it back into shape. 
    • If the trim cover is damaged or cracked, replace the trim cover. 
    • After fitting the trim cover, check that it is seated correctly and securely. 
  5. Fit cover on the distance measuring sensor control unit.

  6. Perform a test drive and check operation of distance measuring sensor control unit.
  7. Read out the fault memory for the distance measuring sensor (ACC) control unit.
